Mission Statement

Gamehaven SPorts And Recreation parK (SPARK) strives to provide Southeast Minnesota and its visitors a premier regional recreational park to participate in active outdoor sport and recreation during all seasons for enjoyment and to promote a healthy life style.

This site has been developed and is supported by Rochester Active Sports Club (RASC).RASC is a multi-sport club designed to provide a framework for the support and development of sports such as cycling (MTB and road) and nordic skiing in South East Minnesota. The club is organized as a nonprofit organization and has 501 (c)(3) status.

Winter Possibilities

Skiing, sledding, snowshoeing and fat tire biking are a few of the activities that could be enjoyed during Minnesota winters in the park.

Summer Possibilities

Going for a hike, taking the family on a bikeride, or trying mountain biking on trails or BMX in the park are just a few of the thing summer offers. Take to the water instead with possibilities of stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking.

Our Vision for Gamehaven

. Our vision for Gamehaven park is to promote its development as the premier winter and summer recreation park for the City of Rochester and SE Minnesota. On the left side you will find details of our ideas for each sport in Gamehaven. This is not intended to be all inclusive, and simply represents some of the possible silent sports that could be accommodated in a park of this size in both winter and summer.

We believe that the winter component is a critical element of any design for this park. With 4 months of winter and little outdoor recreational opportunities, Rochester urgently needs a wintertime silent sports destination - Gamehaven has the potential to be that destination!
